Ship-in-Campus was established conforming to the guidelines of Directorate General of Shipping Government of India. It was certified by Dr. S.C. Misra (Consultant appointed by D.G.Shipping Government of India Naval Architecture Professor from IIT Khanapur).

The ship-in-campus consists of machineries like Main Engine, Auxiliary engine, Auxiliary boiler & Auxiliary machineries like Bilge pump, Ballast pump, Sea water pump, Fresh water generator, purifier, oily water separator incinator etc All the systems pipe lines of Main Engine & Auxiliary machineries in the Ship-in -campus are according to layout found on board ship. This will give the cadets a practical understanding of the piping layout as found on board Merchant Navy Ships. The main objective of ship-in -campus is to familiarize cadets with on board ship machineries & systems along with the maintenance routine that needs to be rigorously followed by every Marine Engineer on board ships.

The training imparted to MANET cadets in ship-in-campus will make them well versed with routine activities. Maintenance & operational task which they are likely to work with on board ship.
