Electrical

Man and marine life have seen unbelievable changes in past few decades.
From the row boats and sail boats to steam powered ships and today to the state-of-art gas turbine operated ships Marine technology has witnessed colossal changes. The modern ship is almost feather touch operated with a major stress on the Electrical facade of the modern machines.

To groom mariners excellence, MANET has established modern state-of-art electrical laboratory to meet and overcome these challenges. The laboratory contains various types of electrical instruments upon which various experiments are conducted on applied electricity. The second part of the lab is housed with miniature models of electrical machines and marine system like the power generator system, synchronous and asynchronous machines, D.C. machines and the likes all equipped with the modern starting systems.

These Machines and equipments impart technical expertise to the cadets making them operationally aware and in turn good desirable mariners.

Electronics

Gone are the days, when most equipments in the ships were mechanical. With hi-tech the buzz word in every industry, the marine industry is no exception. With inputs from experts in the subject we have designed the syllabus such that it covers all the important aspects required for the Marine engineer. After successful completion of the course, the cadets will be able to
  • Identify different components and understand their functioning.
  • Understand the working of various communication equipment.
  • Use different electronic instruments, used on board ship.
The cadets will also get the expertise to supervise, lead or perform various technical duties concerned with, mathematics, electronic phenomena and the principles techniques and practices of electronics engineering. Electronics Engineering in respect to a marine engineer pertains primarily to electronic circuits, circuit elements equipments, and systems for purposes such as communication.

The cadets also get the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting assignments in support of the developments of numerous types of equipments & systems.
