Ans:- The cost of prospectus is Rs 1,000/-. (Non-refundable)

Ans:- No.
Ques:5. What are the important steps to be followed while filling the
application form?
Ans:- • The completed filled application form along with Demand Draft of
Rs.1000/- will be considered only. Also write your name and contact number on reverse side of D.D. The Form Numbers will be allotted to those forms which are accompanied with Demand Draft of Rs.1000/-.
• Application summary must be submitted in an envelope super-scribed with the words -
"Application for admission to B.Tech. Marine Engineering"

“Application for admission to B.Sc.Nautical Science”.
Ques:6. Where I can submit my application form?
Ans:- The Completely filled application forms must be forwarded to the

Ques:7. How will I know if my application is received at MANET?
Ans:- For the benefit of the candidates, the following arrangements have been
made to enable the candidates to know the status of the application.
Once the application is received at MANET, a phone call will be made to
the candidate stating that the application has been received at MANET.
This would however be possible only if the contact number is correctly
shaded in the application form.
Ques:8. What courses does MANET provide?
Ans:- MANET provides 1) B.Tech Marine Engineering 4yrs Degree Course
2) B.Sc.Nautical 3yrs Degree Course .
Ques:9. Are the courses approved by the government?
Ans:- Yes. Both the courses have the approval of Directorate General of
Shipping, Govt. of India, Mumbai .
Ques:10. What is the difference between B.S. and B.E./B.Tech.?
Ans:- The difference is only in the nomenclature. All are Technical degrees .
Ques:11. After applying for B.Tech Marine Engineering Degree Course, Can I
change the choice to B.Sc.Nautical Science Degree Course or Vice-versa?
Ans:- Yes, you can do on the day of admission round. However your vision has
to be 6/6 for admission in B.Sc Nautical Science Course and you have to
clear the eyesight test according to the norms .

Ans:- Yes, there are many successful woman seafarers across globe of foreign
nationalities as well as Indians.
Ques:17. Is staying in hostel compulsory? Is there a separate hostel for girls?
Ans:- Yes. Both the courses are compulsorily residential courses. Girls do have separate hostel.

Ans:- Our entrance examination MANET “MET” is scheduled on

Ans:- The MANET “MET” exam is based on 10+2 syllabus, the subjects
involved are Physics, Chemistry,Mathematics, English & General
Knowledge.

Ans:- The question paper will only consist of multiple choice questions.

time of the examination?
Ans:- • If you do not receive admit card on time, come to your first choice Examination Centre without any hesitation.
• Your admit card will be provided at Examination Centre on Examination day.
Ques:27. On what basis will the Qualifying merit list be prepared for MANET “MET”?
Ans:- The qualifying merit list will be prepared purely based on the marks scored by the candidates in MANET “MET”.

Ans:- The MANET “MET” Results will be declared on 07/06/2010 .

Ans:- Center wise entrance examination results will be available on website: www.manetpune.com
Ques:30. I have appeared for class 10+2 exam this year. The results are not yet
declared. Can I still fill up the form and appear in MANET-MET?
Ans:- Yes, appearing candidates can also apply, you can fill the application
form leaving the blank section for class 10+2 marks . It should be filled
at the time of admission round.
Ques:31. Importance of MANET “MET” Exam?
Ans:- If you qualify in MANET- MET exam than only you will be eligible for Admission round.
Ques:32. I have secured 59.9% in PCM in the 10+2 examination, am I eligible to apply?
Ans:- Sorry, you are not eligible .
Ques:33. I have secured 58% in PCM in 10+2 examination, but in 2010 I am appearing for the Improvement Examination, can I apply?
Ans:- Yes, you can apply, but at the time of counseling you should produce the proof that you have secured 60% in PCM.
Ques:34. I have secured 60% aggregate marks in the 10+2 examination, but I have not secured 60% in PCM, am I eligible?
Ans:- Sorry, you are not eligible.
Ques:35. I scored a very high percentage in my 10+2 examination. Will this be taken into consideration for my admission or will this be considered on par with my marks scored in MANET “MET” for admission?
Ans:- First you should clear the MANET-Met exam successfully & at the time
of admission round your 10+2 marks will be considered.
Ques:36. Are CET / IIT JEE marks considered for admission?
Ans:- No. We take into account only the MANET “MET” scores.
Ques:37. Will my merit in any other All India Competitive exams be considered?

Ans:- The Medical Test is conducted and needs to be done by a DGS and MANET approved doctor during the admission round only.

Ans:- Yes, if it corrects your vision to 6/6 without glasses.

Ans:- The following are the counseling dates (admission rounds) according to
PCM percentage of 10+2 Examination in batches, as detailed below:

written tests? Is there accommodation available on campus for parents and family?
Ans:- Parents are encouraged to come along with you to the campus during the interview and written tests. It will be a good opportunity
for them to see the campus and the type of life you are going to lead for the complete course duration. Unfortunately, MANET cannot accommodate guests, but there are several convenient and reasonably priced hotels in the neighboring areas.
Ques:43. When I will know the confirmation of my admission?
Ans:- • Your admission will be confirmed only after Verification of original documents, successful Medical Test, Personal Interview and Payment of First Semester fees on the day of admission round.
• After confirming candidate’s name in final admission list displayed on college notice board will be considered as confirmed admission.
