MANET Library serves as a resource center under the norms of ISO 9000:2001, aims to develop a comprehensive collection of documents useful for faculty and cadets of the institute and provides an efficient dissemination of knowledge.

 Library Collection
MANET Library has 6700 books which are organized as per ‘Dewey Decimal Classification Scheme’. Reference books among those are
200 in numbers, holding various marine engineering related manuals, important titles in marine Engineering & related subject
fields as well as fictions & non-fictions with textbook copy of each title. Library also has a CD’s collection comprising MAN
B&W diesel, Safety At Sea, etc.
Besides this, Library subscribes around 26 periodicals out of that 14 are technical & 12 non-technical. Major among technical are
FAIRPLAY, FAIRPLAY SOLUTIONS, MARINE WAVES, TIMES SHIPPING JOURNAL etc.
The non technical magazines include THE WEEK, BUSINESS WORLD, COMPETITION SUCCESS REVIEW etc.
Library Working Hours
Library is kept open on all working days except general holidays. Working hours is as follows :

Library Services
Routine Library Services like ISSUE/RETURN is done with the help of SLIM 21 LIBRARY SOFTWARE. Library also provides various other services to its clientele like CAS, SDI, Document Delivery, Newspaper Clipping & ON DEMAND online searching service.
Daily Newspaper service is rendered through Times of India, Economic Times, and Sakal etc. to all the users of MANET Library.
Library also has the facility of READING ROOM having the seating capacity of around 110.
Library Rules & Regulations
- Library books will be issued for 7days & will be reissued depending upon their demand.
- If the book is not returned on the due date, 1 rupee per day per book will be collected.
- Loss of books if any shall be reported to the LIBRARIAN immediately & new copy shall be replaced. If the borrower fails to replace the copy,
double amount of book’s latest price plus overdue charges will be levied.
- Library has closed access system, where no student is allowed to enter in the STACK ROOM
- REFERENCE BOOKS will not be issued, they are strictly for library reference.
