AN MOU AGREEMENT WAS SIGNED BETWEEN MAHARASHTRA ACADEMY OF NAVAL EDUCATION & TRAINING (MANET), PUNE

AND

MITSUI O.S.K LINES MARITIME (INDIA) PVT. LTD. (MOLMI).

On 21st Sept. 2006 at MANET, LONI-KALBHOR, PUNE. The agreement was signed by Prof. Vishwanath Karad for MANET and by Capt. S.Hiratsuka for MOLMI. Some of the salient features of agreement are:

• The purpose of the agreement is to train and educate "Seafarer's of MOLMI fleet" at MOL TRAINING CENTRE - MANET (INDIA) on the premises of MANET.
• MOL to install a bridge simulator (360o) which is the first of its kind to be installed in Asia.
• At present two courses in the Engineering stream are being conducted at MOL TRAINING CENTRE - MANET. Namely:- Aux engine maintenance course. Lathe & Welding w/shop course.
• MOLMI to recrmit atleast 25 to 30 Graduate Engineers every year from MANET.
